It’s been well over a year since my last blog post… 9 months since I got married; A whole whirlwind of things have happened.
It’s interesting how we push away the things that could potentially help us the most. Writing, and reading, are excellent “escapes” or creative outlets yet they are the two things I find myself not doing. I want to get back to the things that I enjoy.
Let’s see if I can’t get you caught up!
I married my best friend in September of last year. Unfortunately, I have to say I didn’t quite enjoy the planning of the wedding or even the wedding itself. Nathan and I were so happy when the day was over with! I don’t wish that feeling or experience on anyone. I’m incredibly grateful for the people who were supportive during what seemed like such a trying time for me.
A wedding is a one day event. In the end it’s the marriage that truly matters; and I have to say I am surely enjoying mine!
We were both still living at home after the wedding. I can’t tell you how stressed I was trying to find a place to live. We eventually found a home to rent at the beginning of December.
I personally am not enjoying the rental process but try not to complain… we have a roof over our heads and God has plans for us to move onto better things.
We’re still enjoying life together and our family is growing. We recently got a puppy! She’s a Jack Russell Terrier and we named her Luna. I’ve never had a puppy before; she’s so full of life and energy. She is also a very stubborn pain in the rear.
We are also expecting our first child! I’m at the halfway point. We’re so excited to be parents. This, since week 14, has been the best part of pregnancy.
I think that about sums it up for now. I’ll be sharing more of my life and pregnancy in the weeks to come!
